Image
Sweet Dixie Border and Tag Stamps Designed by Sue Dix Today Tracey brings to you a selection of projects created using Sue Dix  Sweet Dixie Floral Christmas Border and Tag Stamps (SDCSA6076)   from Personal Impressions . The stamp set consists of one Border stamp, one tag stamp, two sentiments *Christmas Wishes and With Love* and also included are word stamps saying to and from, all you will need to create your own Christmas Tags. The Tag stamp was used to create a 4.5"x 3" mini card, perfect size to use as a Florist card. The image was stamped on to Kraft Card and coloured with Promarkers. The centre of the tag stamp is blank so you could personalise this with your own sentiment or even a name, I chose to use the Christmas Wishes Stamp included in the set, The image stamps crisp and clear and looks just as good uncoloured. With this tag I have used the *With Love* sentiment included in the set, perfect to use as a gift tag or an embellishment for a ca

Merry Little Robin by Teresa Morgan Did you miss me last Monday? So sorry to those of you who were looking forward to another Christmas project. I am back from my holiday and just about caught up with everything now!! Today I have used another wonderful set of stamps designed by Lindsay Mason for Personal Impressions. I love the little string of bunting in this set…. I stamped the jolly robin on his branch and then masked him off to stamp more branches around the lower half of my card. I stamped the bunting several times across the top and then stamped it three times onto a spare piece of card so I could cut it out and layer it with 3d foam. I used Memento ink to stamp with and Copics and Promarkers to colour in the images. Stamps Used: Merry Little Robin Useful Links: Personal Impressions Website Lindsay Mason Designs Blog

A little piece of Autumn...by Tracey Fairgrieve

Image
Autumn such an inspirational season with its changing colours.. my favourite time of year. This little canvas is my preparation for a project in the making as I have plans to create this on a much grander scale, but for the moment its just a 5" x 7" canvas. Stamps used are  Personal Impressions Zendoodle Leaves PICSA6425  which consists of four leaf outline stamps Designed by Lindsay Mason Each leaf design has been stamped multiple times onto  Sweet Dixie smooth card . Ranger Distress ink in Autumnal colours has been blended over the stamped leaf images and sprayed with water, when the water droplets are lifted this leaves a spotted blotched effect. The leaves have been cut out and their veins scored using a ball tool. The leaves have then been glued onto a 5x7 canvas which has been prepared with texture paste and painted with a combination of DecoArt Raw Umber, Burnt Sienna and Hansa Yellow Paint. A good coating of Mod Podge  helps to seal the finished

Tipsy Snowmen...

Image
New Beginning.. a space to create.. Chase your passion...follow your bliss...: Tipsy Snowmen... : The weather can be most unpredictable but here in the West Midlands the past few days have been quite pleasant.... So in complete contrast let me cool you all down and introduce another stamp set  *Tipsy Snowmen*  designed by  Lindsay Mason  from her 2016 Christmas Sweet Dixie collection from  Personal Impressions .   This set consists of one large snowmen image and two good sized sentiments. I fell head over heels with this set when I first saw it and couldn't wait to have a play. I chose to design a 6x6 hanging plaque. As the keyword for this set is *Tipsy* for me the background had to be a Pub or Bar... I have hand drawn glasses and bottles of booze to create the background and used Letraset promarkers to colour and shade.     The snowmen have been stamped three times so heads and hats could be cut out and layered to give definition. The snowmen themselves need min

A Special Christmas Wish by Teresa Morgan

Today I am sharing another Christmas card using some of the lovely new stamps from the Sweet Dixie Collection for Personal Impressions. Designed by Lindsay Mason, these cute stamps are so easy to create with. I have paper pieced the pretty girl stamp again, and framed her with a holly wreath:   The girls clothes and boots are stamped onto patterned paper, then fussy cut. Mini buttons complete the outfit. Her face and hair are coloured with Copics. I die cut an aperture into some silver and white card, then layered on 3d foam over a red background. I added the girl with 3d foam and stamped the holly from the Christmas Tweets set 14 times! The holly is coloured with Promarkers then cut and shaped before being glued around the aperture. I finished with one of the lovely sentiments, matted onto red card. Jolly Happy Christmas Tree Magnet

Image
Friday Feature: Sweet Dixie Jolly Happy Christmas Tree Magnet. This Friday I bring to you a card using just one element from Lindsay Masons' Sweet Dixie Jolly Happy Christmas  *New 2016 Christmas stamp collection from Personal Impressions. This stamp set consists of four images and two sentiments (please note the winter wishes sentiment on this project along with the snowflakes used in the background are from Lindsays' Christmas Hello stamp set.) Snowflakes have been randomly stamped using Tim Holtz Stormy Sky distress ink. Torn hammered white card has been layered onto a distressed and spritzed background to create the snowy base.  The stamped tree image has been coloured using Promarker, Forest Green, Holly and Leaf Green and the baubles using Promarkers from the vibrant collection.  Smaller trees are created by cutting the lower half  of the tree image away, I also removed the stars from the smaller trees to leave one central focal Tree

Love at Home Birds Accordion Card

Image
Love at Home Birds Accordion Card Mary here to share a fairly easy rectangle accordion card. The new Birds and Birdhouse dies from Joset Designs are super cute. They come with winter accessories but I decided to use them for a summer look, with fluffy clouds in the background and bright colors. The birds may look like they are kissing but they are really just dancing beak to beak. Making the Card 1. Die Cut 3 panels from patterned paper (Abrianna by K&Company) using Accordion Rectangle: cut 2 from the blue side and 1 from the purple side.  Line up panels so tabs are all on right. Cut tabs off last as directed in packaging. Decorate first, before assembly 2. Die cut 2 sets of Katie Flourish Frame Edges from both turquoise and pink/purple cardstock (i.e. 4 short and 4 long sides of each color). Adhere to opposite colored panels (the first panel will have them on both sides since it will be the front, seen when the card is folded flat). 3. Die cut bird house, birds, w

Holy Night Angel Mini Canvas

Image
Holy Night Angel Mini Canvas by Teresa Morgan This beautiful stamp (SDCSA6114) from the Sweet Dixie collection is designed by Lindsay Mason for Personal Impressions. I love the music detail on her dress and was inspired to create a little canvas decoration with her. I took a black 6 inch canvas and swiped a Versamark inkpad around the edges , then added gold embossing power  and used a heat tool to emboss it. I stamped the angel onto white paper with Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder, then coloured her with Promarkers before cutting out. I used Mod Podge to glue her to the canvas.  I stamped and embossed the star and words directly onto the canvas to finish the piece. I love the music score detail – one of my favourite hymns! A versatile set of stamps which can be used for alternative cards such as Sympathy or Easter to name but a few. The main images have been stamped onto Crafter's Companion Hint of Gold white Centura Pearl card using VersaMark . The cross and Star Bright script on the DL card have been heat embossed using Sweet Dixie Super Sparkle Gold Gold embossing powder. The cross has been cut out and mat and layered onto gold card to compliment the embossing powder.
