Sweet Dixie with Hugs by Tracey Fairgrieve

Using Sweet Dixie Zendoodle RTG Teddy Stamp Designed by Lindsay Mason from Personal Impression I've created a Hugs card. a card to show someone appreciation, love or an alternative to the more traditional Valentines card.


I first stamped the Teddy and coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens



Then created a background using a 5x7" Gelli Plate, Rollering Acrylic Paints, stamping with Tim Holtz Stamps and dot and dabbing with a few shapes found lying around the house. All transferred and printed onto Linen card.



The Teddy has been paper pieced using one of the four coloured teddy's as a base and cutting up sections of the other three teddy's. Layering using alternative colours and gluing them down has helped to give him that patchwork look.



Backed onto black card, glossy accents, gilding wax and a heart shaped gemstone has given him a little dimension.

The Hugs text has been cut using Ultimate Crafts 3 in 1 Alphabet Dies.

You can do so much with a canvas - you can use rice papers, dies, stencils, acrylic paints, pastes and so much more. Materials: White Canvas Ciao Bella Rice Paper Sweet Dixie Dream Catcher Die Sweet Dixie Feather Die White Card Dimensional Paste Blue/Aqua/white Paint Cadence Magic Bond and Seal Glue Honeycomb Stencil Brown/blue distress ink Method: First of all start off with layering the base of your canvas using your rice papers. Love Birds

Good Morning Crafters   With Valentine's day being next Sunday Mag's has created this beautiful card.   Have you made your Valentine's card yet?   Products Mags has used can be found on the Personal Impressions website.     Products used for this project are:   Studio Light Creative with Chalk stamp set – Birdcage and Flowers Aspire Crafts Stamping Card C6 white card blank Red and black cardstock Fired Brick distress ink Worn Lipstick distress ink Versamark stamping pad White embossing powder Memento black ink Scrap of red ribbon Red crystal stickers   Step 1 For the background randomly stamp the cluster of hearts from the stamp set using versamark onto a piece of white card.  Emboss using white embossing powder.  Blend Worn Lipstick and Fired Brick distress ink over the whole of the white card.  Remove the ink from the large hearts using some water and a paintbrush.    Step 2 Cut out a heart shape from w
