Shabby Fabric Flowers

Today we are sharing a step by step project by Samantha.

For this project you will need the following:
Sweet Dixie Stamps, Spring Sayings SDCSA6063
Spellbinders Contour Layered Blooms SR-005
Distress Inks - Picket Fence and Walnut Stain.
VersaMark ink and white embossing powder.
Fabric from stash
Cardboard from a box.
Pink Gem.
 
Step 1
 
Place the fabric on die and pass through the Die cutting machine to cut the flower out.
 
 
Step 2
 
Sew or glue the three layers of fabric together to make the flower.

Cut a piece of cardboard 5x7 inches and peel the top layer of paper back around the edges, then sand the rest for texture with a block.

 
Step 3
 
Rub the white ink pad (picket fence) over the cardboard.

Use a ink tool and Walnut Stain around the edges.
 
 
Step 4
 
Cut another piece of cardboard 4x1.5 inches, distress and add the inks.

then stamp the saying “no matter how long the winter, Spring is sure to follow”

onto the cardboard with Versamark then white embossing powder and heat.

 
Step 5
 
Cut a strip of fabric 1 x 17cm the same as the flower and glue to the cardboard.

Glue the flower on and add a pink gem.


 
To finish glue the sentiment on.
